Hi guys, I remember reading an old post about the small rubber pipes that connect the fuel pump with the turbo and intercooler on a 4JB1 engine. Does anybody know where can i find it? If not, it would be great to read some postings about it.

Unfortuanatly the old postings were lost due to a server problem They are gone forever. If you need I could try and take photos of them if it helps.

Yes Alan! A picture is worth a thousand words. I'm struggling to get them connected in the right order. My turbo isn't boosting anymore.

If it isn't boosting, or appears that way, it might pay to check the exhaust shut off mechanism that is part of your cold start quick warm up system. There is a butterfly valve in the exhaust just under the turbo, and it is notorious for jaming shut if it has been used. This happened to a friends isuzu and his turbo had no boost as the exhaust doesn't have enough flow. Only found it once the mechanic had a look.

For a quick check and for total fix if you like removing superflous emission pipes. Run one pipe from the top point on the Fuel in jection pump to the top of the crossover pipe. (the one that sticks out over the Rocker cover and not the diaphgram for the intake flapper!!!)
Thats all there is for the boost and Max fuel control thats involved. The rest are for the Preheat funtions and EGR all which I have removed from my engine!
Its worth doing for a quick check to see if the max fuel/boost function is working (ie diagnosis) but this only limits boost because it limits max fuel. So if you still have low boost after that then you have other problems, bummer!! Why do you have to check, have you removed the pipes for some reason and now dont know if they are fitted correctly?
Matt.
