The big one against leaves is cost. You might be able to get a broken late model wizard and transfer all the bits across along with whatever engineering is required get low vol cert and away you go. New springs from repco etc are around 400 - 500 and bolt straight in. coils are a little bit better but not enough to justify the wallet injury and the time it would take to do. If you do go this way post a full report with lots of pictures as it will be a good project

The rear end would be easy, the front end would be a bit trickier.
Wouldn't be impossible though - another person on this forum has done solid axle swap successfully.
I don't think there would be much value in it, unless you can get the labour done for free.

I see what you mean about the price difference, Have decided to stick with the leafs but might do the 2" lift at the same time. Just a couple of quick questions (that are more than likely answered in here somewhere). 1, If i go the 2" lift will i need to change shocks to long reach? currently using monroe heavy duty 4x4 gas magnums.
2, What other advantages will i get from the 2" lift other than clearance height?
Cheers

The factory Tocikos will accommodate 50mm but you would have to measure the Monroes to be sure. Before you rehook up the bottoms of the shocks and with the rear in the air if the shock is in the right place or if you have to push it up to put it on they are ok. If you have to lift the axle to refit the shock it is too short and wont last very long. Better to put them on trade me and fit new ones before the next time off road. 2 gains are more hight allowing bigger wheels and new springs hopefully made to a better design ie military wrap, better flex etc. My lovels springs ignoring the overload springs the same thickness as the old spring but had 5 leaves not 3 resulting in very good flex.
