Best way is to use a wrecked comadoor for parts. Then you get motor auto box computer and the antitheft ignition key. Fit the motor and box as one unit. Then get a hilux transfer case and mount that mod the drive shafts to suit Pay the low vol certifier and away you go

Whatever non isuzu motor/box you use The hilux transfer case is easy to adapt to the gearbox output and has the ouputs in pretty much the right place. Not sure about rover v8 though especialy the old 3.5. They are very long in the tooth now and for the same money you can get either a 4 liter lexus or 4 liter nissan v8 with far more power and ecconomy. You still get that lovly v8 sound. If you must go rover get the later 3.9 engine or if you can find one a 4.3 liter P76 engine. You could always bore and stroke it to 5 liters
