From memory, theres copper washers on the coolant inlet and outlet which are normally fine. There is a copper washer on the oil feed, metal plate gaskets for the main mount and exhaust joint, so the only one to replace would be the oil discharge. This is an ovalish shaped one and is the biggest pain of the whole install. It goes between the rigid oil discharge pipe flange and the bottom of the turbo body. I found it easiest to put these two bolts in first using an extension bar and a longnosed socket through the drivers wheel arch for the one nearest the engine. The other can be done with a short 10mm spanner from the top with the battery out the way. I've done this job twice and it took 2-3 hours every time. which rates it as a fiddly b*llsh*t job on my list. Good Luck J

Wouldn't it be easier to unbolt the pipe from the sump and fit it to the turbo first, then feed the pipe back down to the sump and bolt it back on?There's enough flex in the expansion/vibration joint to allow a bit of movement. Harry.

Hey guys, as my turbo winds down when i turn it iff is has a high pitched tinking sound, could my turbo be on the way out? Mine winds down with a whine.Sounds a bit like a jet winding down. I thought this was pretty cool until I read that it could be a BAD thing. Is this normal?
