sorry but i made a mistake, according to the rebuild manual, the thickest OEM gasket is 1.7mm for MAX. piston projection of .914mm which leaves a piston to head clearence of 0.786,mine has a projection of 1.150mm,head clearence of 0.550mm,if head gasket is 2mm-1.150=0.850mm piston to head clearence.more over with the altered rocker ratio with an extra valve lift of 1mm,its safer to have more clearence,

as long as the compresion ratio is high enough to allow the engine to start (some diesels are as low as 16/1) then low compression can be used to allow more boost

this is a oil sump partition i just made, as you can see that the oil pump has a tube which goes through the partition, then the oil sump cover goes over the partition plate, reason for doing this is that, oil will drop on top of the plate the is sucked out from the side(not made yet)the oil will pass through the filter and also the oil cooler and will go to the lower part of the partition where the inlet of the oil pump is.all this section will be negative pressure,(suction from the oil pump)will the oil filter internal collapse with negative pressure???more pics when i finish with this.

hi,its about 1 half months away from starting up,i just finished my other project which was a bike, a suzuki vx800 bored to 941.6("vx800 to vxz942" in youtube). the isuzu's engine bay is gettng the paint job first before the engine goes in. i hit a snag recently,i had to reengineer the oil pressure regulator(the one attached to the oil filter housing)the previous one was too restrictive and made the oil pressure shoot up,i also spoke to one racer(4jb1t engines)he told me that when he put more preload on the regulator to increase oil pressure,at high revs(5000+)this would shear the gear tooth on the oil pump and cams,so his advice was to keep the regulator at stock pressure.
